How Rekebot works

1. Pay a bid fee, enter an amount

Each bid costs a small fixed fee, paid with Chapa (telebirr, CBE Birr, M-Pesa, cards) or Telegram Stars inside the Telegram app. With each bid you choose an amount in birr, down to the santim — for example 4.37 ETB.

2. Amounts stay secret

Nobody can see anyone else's amounts while a draw is open. You can place several bids in the same draw, up to that draw's limit, but not the same amount twice.

3. Lowest unique bid wins

When the countdown ends, we look at every paid bid. Amounts chosen by more than one player are out. Of the amounts chosen by exactly one player, the lowest wins.

4. The winner pays their bid

The winner pays exactly their winning amount within the payment window shown on the draw (usually 48 hours) and receives the prize. If they don't pay in time, the next lowest unique bid becomes the winner.

5. If nobody is unique

If no amount was chosen by exactly one player, the draw ends with no winner.

Fees and refunds

Bid fees pay for taking part and are not refunded, except when a draw is cancelled or a payment arrives after the draw has closed. Unpaid bids are released after 30 minutes.
